Assessor Matt Wehmuller

Matt Wehmuller is a fifth-generation Canadian County resident. Elected in 2010, Matt is now serving his fourth term in office. He believes his rural upbringing, work ethic, and work experiences prepared him for the challenge of the assessor's office.

As Finance Director for INTEGRIS Hospice, he analyzed financial statements, developed budgets, and managed billing and revenue. Matt worked for the Oklahoma State and Education Employees Group Insurance Board administering plan benefits, training coordinators, and maintaining the department's budget. He also served as a Financial Advisor where he assisted individuals and businesses with investing and retirement planning.

Matt has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations with a minor in Journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma which has helped him effectively manage businesses and work with people. He's also a graduate of the El Reno School system.

As a fifth-generation Canadian County resident, Matt has many community ties. He helps farm family land, owns local investment properties, and has children in school. Matt and his wife Diane have been married for twenty-three years and have three children: Caden, Nate, and Hope. They attend Life Church in Yukon.
