Board of County Commissioners Meeting
January 9, 2006
The Canadian County Board of Commissioners met at 9:00 a.m. in the Public Meeting Room. Those present were: Grant Hedrick, Jr., Phil Carson, Don Young, Phyllis Blair, Ronnie Funck, Conrad Dudderar, Pat Hammert, Andy Bass, Dan Bomhoff and Mike Bomhoff.
Young called the meeting to order.
Hedrick moved, seconded by Carson to approve the minutes of the January 3, 2006 meeting. Voting aye, Young, Carson and Hedrick.
Hedrick moved, seconded by Carson to approve appropriations and transfers. Voting aye, Young, Carson and Hedrick.
APPROPRIATIONS:
Assessor Revolving Fund from December 2005 copy fees $232.00
Count Clerk’s Lien Fees from December 2005 fees 1,984.00
Prisoner Care & Boarding from State of Oklahoma & Inmate Trust 7,752.02
Sheriff’s Service Fees from Foreign Service Fees 14,631.69
Sheriff’s Commissary Fund from Inmate Trust 300.29
County Clerk’s Preservation Fund from December 2005 fees 13,340.00

Carson moved, seconded by Young to elect Hedrick as Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for 2006. Hedrick moved, seconded by Young to elect Carson as Vice-Chairman. Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.
Young moved, seconded by Carson to approve Order for Hearing in the matter of the petition to annex additional territory to the Rural Water, Sewer and Solid Waste Management District No. 4, Canadian County, Oklahoma (Green Valley). Bass stated this would add another quarter section. Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.
Young moved, seconded by Carson to approve Assessor’s Monthly report for December 2005. Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.
Carson moved, seconded by Young to approve Sheriff’s Report for the Board of Prisoners for December 2005. Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.
Hedrick moved, seconded by Carson to approve Application for Permit for Enogex Gas Gathering, LLC to install one natural gas pipeline crossing between the SW/4 of Section 3 into the SE/4 of Section 4-T14N-R9W in District #3. Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.
Carson moved, seconded by Young to approve Interlocal Cooperative Agreement between Oklahoma County and Canadian County for CRS-2 Emulsion Oil. Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.
The Commissioners gave the following reports:
Young stated they hauled rock, graded, mowed, worked with the shoulder disk and worked on the bridge on Reno east of Highway 81.
Carson stated District #1 hauled 138 tons of 1” crusher run to the yard, 495 tons of shale to 220th between Banner & Manning Roads, loaded 890 gallons of patch oil to patch Morgan Road north of 178th and 122nd east of Highway 81. He stated they also tore down a house for the fairgrounds property, picked up trash, mowed and worked on a fence project. He stated he attended the Wheatland Resources Conservation & Development meeting and the Yukon Chamber coffee last week.
Hedrick stated he attended an ACCO Legislative Committee meeting last week. He stated they were cleaning ditches between I-40 and Calumet, hauling rock to the shop and worked on an erosion problem on Chisholm Road.
Under new business, Carson stated while they were working on cleaning up the property purchased at the fairgrounds, they thought the property next to that would be worth checking into buying. He asked Young and Hedrick if they wanted Andy Bass to check into purchasing that property also. Hedrick stated it wouldn’t hurt to check it out. Bass stated he would check into it.
Carson also wanted to enter into the minutes a letter of appreciation and support to Doug Henley, El Reno City Manager and his staff for the cooperative work the City of El Reno does with the County.
Young moved, seconded by Carson to approve Blanket Purchase Orders. Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.
Young moved, seconded by Carson to approve Claims. Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.
Carson moved, seconded by Young to adjourn. Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.
