Board of County Commissioners Meeting

June 5, 2006

 

The Canadian County Board of Commissioners met at 9:00 a.m. in the Public Meeting Room.  Those present were:  Grant Hedrick, Jr., Phil Carson, Don Young, Conrad Dudderar, Pat Hammert and Phyllis Blair.

 

Hedrick called the meeting to order.

 

Young moved, seconded by Carson to approve the minutes of the May 30, 2006 meeting.  Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.

 

Carson moved, seconded by Young to approve appropriations and transfers.  Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.

 

                APPROPRIATIONS:

 

                Prisoner Care & Boarding from U.S. Treasury                                                                                $180.00

                Sheriff’s Service Fees from May 2006 apportionment                                                                  1,000.00

There were no comments from the public.

 

Hedrick moved, seconded by Carson to approve to let bids for (1) or more new belly dump trailers for a straight purchase for District #3.  Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.

 

Carson moved, seconded by Young to approve maintenance agreement between Oklahoma Office Systems and the County Clerk’s office for a Konica Copier 7222, ID# 25535 for FY 2006-07.  Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.

 

Carson moved, seconded by Young to approve April 2006 monthly reports for the following:

a)       Health Dept.

b)       Assessor

Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.

 

Carson moved, seconded by Young to approve Inter-Local Agreement between the Board of County  Commissioners of Canadian County (District #1) and the City of El Reno for the removal and replacement of the bridge located approximately 150 yards south of Highway 66 on Alfadale Road.  Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.

 

Hedrick moved, seconded by Young to approve Inter-Local Agreement between the City of El Reno and the Board of County Commissioners (District #3) for oil and chipping approximately 1 ½ miles of roads within the city limits of El Reno.  Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.

 

Young moved, seconded by Carson to approve the following Agreements with the Canadian County Public Facilities Authority for the following:

1)       200 S. Bickford for the Election Board for FY 2006-07

2)       Gary E. Miller Children’s Justice Center for FY 2006-07

3)       Parking lot north of the Judicial Building for FY 2006-07

4)       Storage at the Canadian County Health Department for the Sheriff’s Office for FY 2006-07

5)       Extension of Sub-Lease Agreement and Operation and Maintenance Contract for the Canadian County Health Department for FY 2006-07

Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.

 

 

Carson moved, seconded by Young to approve Contract for Services between Visual Lease Services and the Canadian County Assessor’s Office for FY 2006-07.  Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.

 

Young moved, seconded by Carson to approve a Maintenance Agreement between Summit Business Systems and the Canadian County Assessor for a G3235 Copier, SN H5206301014, ID# AE381 for FY 2006-07.  Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.

 

The Commissioners gave the following reports:

 

Young stated they hauled rock to the yard and on thin spots and had the mowers running.

 

Carson stated District #1 hauled chips, loaded 1400 gallons of oil to patch, chipped Cemetary Road from 164th to Oak Hill, chipped Falcon Lake addition, patched on Richland Road  and 164th, had the graders out and had 4 mowers out.  He stated they put rock on County Line Road south of Edmond Road to test for compaction and they will re-surface.  He stated he attended the Canadian County Republican meeting and the Yukon Chamber coffee.

 

Hedrick stated he attended the Canadian County Republican meeting, Tax Roll Corrections Board meeting and the Canadian County United Way Board meeting.  He stated they have been mowing, hauling chips, hauling gyp to the yard and finished the base work in the western part of the county.  He stated they also worked on getting the Maib bridge project started.

 

There was no new business.

 

Young moved, seconded by Carson to approve Blanket Purchase Orders.  Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.

 

Carson moved, seconded by Young to approve Claims.  Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.

 

Young moved, seconded by Carson to adjourn.  Voting aye, Hedrick, Carson and Young.
