CANADIAN COUNTY FLOODPLAIN BOARD
SPECIAL MEETING
DATE: MONDAY, JUNE 5, 2006
TIME: 3:30PM
PLACE: COMMISSIONERS’ MEETING ROOM
Floodplain board members present: Frank Austin, Cecil Bearden, Clarence McCloud, Carl Richey, and Jack Scott. Also present: Amy Brandley, Floodplain Administrator; Albert Alberts; Phil Carson, Commissioner District 1; Ronnie Funck, County Assessor; and Robert Coleman, Community Development Director, City of El Reno.
Bearden called the meeting to order at 3:37pm.
McCloud motioned to accept the minutes of the May 10, 2006 meeting; Scott seconded; voting aye, Austin, Bearden, McLoud, Richey, Scott.
Board considered approval of the plat, Pecan Grove Farms Section IV, located in se4 se4 Section 35 T13N R6W. A change on the plat was made to show the current FEMA 1% chance boundary rather than the boundary Alberts’ engineer arrived at through his hydrology study, since the current FEMA map is the one the floodplain board uses to regulate. McCloud motioned to approve the changed plat, Scott seconded; voting aye, Austin, Bearden, McCloud, Richey, Scott.
Brandley gave a PowerPoint presentation on floodplain management. The board discussed “No Adverse Impact” and possible changes to the county floodplain regulations.
Meeting adjourned at 4:50pm.
