The mortgage tax rate is lower if the term of the mortgage is less than five years. Make out a separate check for the mortgage tax plus a $5.00 certification fee payable to the County Treasurer.

Document referencing system: Book & Page & Reception#. (Format example: Book 2024 Page 376, Reception Number 1746)
Blanket assignments are accepted. Blanket releases are accepted.

Original document is always returned after recording (except liens). When filed in person the document is immediately returned. When filing by mail the document should be returned within three(3) days.

A self-addressed stamped envelope is required.

In subsequent related documents, include references to all previously recorded documents.

Documents in Oklahoma are indexed two ways:
1. By legal description - This is called the "Tract Index"
2. By Grantor/Grantee Name - This is called the "Miscellaneous Index"

Documents without a legal description will be filed in the Miscellaneous Index only. If you want the document reflected against the property, we will need a legal description attached.
