Taxes
Canadian County collects taxes from two sources:
- Property Taxes
- Sales Taxes
Property Taxes
Property (ad valorem) taxes are calculated based on a property owner's valuation and applicable mill levy.
Sales Taxes
Canadian County voters approved a .35 cent sales tax in August 1996 to fund the construction and operation of the Gary E. Miller Canadian County Children's Justice Center.
