Matt Wehmuller is a fifth generation Canadian County resident. Elected in 2010, Matt believes his work experiences have prepared him for the challenge of County Assessor. As Finance Director for the INTEGRIS Hospice he analyzed financial statements, developed budgets, and managed billing and revenue. Matt worked for the Oklahoma State and Education Employees Group Insurance Board administering plan benefits, training coordinators, and maintaining the department’s budget. He also served as a Financial Advisor where he assisted individuals and businesses with investing and retirement planning.

Matt has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with a minor in Journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma which has helped him effectively manage businesses and work with people. He’s also a graduate of the El Reno School system.

As a fifth generation Canadian County resident, Matt has many community ties. He helps farm family land, owns local rental properties, and has a child in the El Reno school system. Matt and his wife Diane have been married for eleven years, and have three children: Caden, Nathaniel, and Hope. They are members of Trinity Baptist Church in Yukon.
