Canadian County is accepting resumes for the position of Emergency Management Director through October 26, 2014

All interested applicants must be NIMS certified through the IS400 level and have extensive experience in the emergency management or emergency responder field. Include all related educational degrees and certifications with your resume. Experience in the fields of law enforcement and fire service is a plus.
Applicants must have a good working knowledge of communication systems, computers and IT skills. Position requires experience in writing grants and managing a fiscal year budget as a department head for the county. Other related duties include county Safety Coordinator, Drug and Alcohol Testing program manager, and ADA compliance coordinator. Position requires good crisis management skills and the ability to react and direct emergency operations during a major disaster event.
