Additional Fees
- Legal Descriptions - $1.00 per description over 25 on a page
- If an instrument offered to the County Clerk for recording contains more than twenty-five (25) legal descriptions requiring separate entries in the indexes, the legal descriptions shall be sorted by addition, block, and lot if platted property, or by township, range, and section if described by governmental survey description. If the legal descriptions are not in order, the recording fee will be $35.00 for the first page and $10.00 for each additional page.
Transfer / Finance Fees / Taxes:
- Documentary Stamp Tax - $0.75 per $500 or fraction thereof of consideration
- Mortgage Tax - $0.10 per $100 or major fraction thereof of debt
- The mortgage tax rate is lower if the term of the mortgage is less than five years. A separate check for the mortgage tax plus a $5.00 certification fee is due to the County Treasurer.
Searches, Copies, and Certification
- This office does not perform any real estate searches. Please contact a local abstractor.

All recording fees listed above are inclusive of a $10.00 preservation fee charged for each applicable instrument recorded pursuant to Oklahoma Statute Title 28 Section 32C.
- *This fee is the preservation fee only. Recording fees were collected when the lien was recorded.
Copies
- Copies 8 1/2" x 11" - $1.00 per page
- Copies 8 1/2" x 14" - $1.00 per page
- Certification Fee per document - $1.00
- Copies of Small Plats - $3.00
- Copies of Large Plats - $5.00
Document / Recording Notes / Question
- Document referencing system: Book and Page Reception Number.
- Format example: Book RB 2024 Page 376, Reception Number R 2008 1746
- Blanket assignments are accepted.
- Blanket releases are accepted.
- The original document is always returned after recording (except liens). When filed in person, the document is immediately returned. When filed by mail, the document should be returned within three (3) business days.
- In subsequent related documents, include references to all previously recorded documents.
Indexing
- Documents in Oklahoma are indexed two ways:
- By legal description - this is called the "Tract Index"
- By Grantor / Grantee name - this is called the "Miscellaneous Index"
- Documents without a legal description will be filed in the Miscellaneous Index only. If you want the document reflected against the property, you must include a legal description.
